And if so, how?
I've been given a shiny shiny new road bike (Halfords half-price sale), and I'm off on a 25 mile cycle tomorrow.

without sounding smug Vipros style, I have been told to gain 10lbs. being skinny is a pain in the arse.
Edit: Fuck, that sounds bad. But I do have to gain the weight to maintain my health. Sorry for any offence caused. Being skinny really IS a pain in the arse!
And I promise to be a lot more positive about stuff next year!

And definitely need to cut down on the drinking at home. A bottle of wine = a pizza, calorie wise. So 4 bottles a week is 4 extra pizzas. Put like that makes it easier to cut down.

I plan to achieve this by eating marginally less.
This is both radical and interesting in equal parts.

Which meant that I wasn't allowed to eat as a child. This meant that the minute I left home I started eating to a massive level. I've only just got out of the habit of hiding food.
The upshot of all this means I have a great difficulty controlling my eating.
Anyways a couple of years ago I went to Japan. Mother said that if I lost a stone in weight before I went then she would give me £500.
I managed to do it over just two months. I didn't follow any plan or join any club. I simply ate less.
I put some of the weight back on but I was really pleased that I managed to shift it.
Since then I joined the gym and used to go four days a week. I lost no weight.

and recently achieved what I had loosely decided was my target weight. I haven't weighed this little for about 14 years.

Don't you have severe weather warnings in your neck of the woods? Don't drown, there's a dear.
One of my mates smashed the front of his skull in on a rock whilst surfing. It made an ugly-looking bugger even worse.

Two years ago I lost 12kg and was working on the reaching the magic "healthy" BMI. Took a job in a hot place with bad food. Back to previously unhealthy proportions :(
Last time all I did was eat less, run more. Takes about 2 months to build up from couch spud to 30 minutes non-stop (and non-strop) running. Well, jogging. Slowly.
I used to go out v. early in the morning so as to avoid being the fat bastard shuffling that everyone hooted at. Didn't much like getting overtaken by the milk float, tho...

Didn't go in the end - it's been chucking it down all day here and cycling in cold rain makes my soul hurt.
