the loveliest card from Tourettes and DG.
This has put me in a very fluffeh mood. I'd like to publicly thank all of the following:
Tourettes and DG: two of the nicest people I've met in my lifetime. I really can't say enough good things about them.
BGB- though times have been trying, she will always hold a very special and deep place in my heart.
Enzyme, Prof. Kenn Martin, Jessie, Pooflake, Cap'n Placid, Rakky, Herr Docktor Leminge, djtrialprice, Empress Bob, Boss Keloid, porkylips, althegoeordie, clendrix, DIT, ancrenne, mistaspakkaman, PJM, chickenlady, bill, The Stig, grandmasterfluffles, Kristine (and anyone else I may have missed, forgive me for I've been drinking), I'd like to thank you all for being so kind to me. You're all wonderful people, and I can't say enough nice things about the lot of you. All of you have been very kind to a middle aged septic who's been going through the shit.
Ah, and a special congrats to Porkylips- very glad your son has benefited from the blacksmithing books, and I hope he will prosper by them. And a great thanks for the Shakespeare- I will indeed treasure it!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again- b3ta is inhabited by some of the nicest people I've known, and I'm honored to be part of the ranks.
Happy new year to you all.

thanks fella! Happy new year too - I've just slipped and tripped my way through Edinburgh to get to the flat where we're holing up for the evening with a lifetime's supply of whisky and chocolate. Yay!

I was in Edinburgh for 1999/ 2000. I have a vague memory of lights in the sky. I'm told they were fireworks.
Oh, and dancing with a policeman in the street, wearing my "Fuck the Millennium" t-shirt.
Pint of gin: bad idea. Even with a little bit of tonic to dilute it.
