I would wager a certain percentage is 'taxed' each year, Yes.

I bet all the driveways in Liverpool are free from snow.
But all the roads are fucked.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:18, Reply)
That is exactly how it is
but my landlady bought lots of salt and is law-abiding.
(I think )
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:20, Reply)
She bought it fair and square
Off a bloke in the pub in a donkey jacket.

I've had to move my rock-salt bunnyrabbit paper weight out of view of the window
I saw some youths eyeing it up.

And they're grey and made of fuzz.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:29, Reply)
True
I also don't generally get out of bed for long enough these days to go and pilfer rock-salt figurines. The wonders of laptops, eh?
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:31, Reply)
I've been a layabout since I got my netbook
It's a wonder I don't have pressure sores.

The leader of the city COUNCIL was on North West Tonight
promising some grit for later on, but I saw none, and I live on a main route.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:14, Reply)
He'll probably pop down the local supermarket
and stockpile all the salt!
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:18, Reply)
me and my dad could not get table salt ANYWHERE on Christmas eve.
We had to get flakes and convince my mum they were better for walking on.
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:19, Reply)
here they just closed some roads
to save grit. One was mine :( To be fair, though it is like a bobsleigh run when it's icy
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:27, Reply)
Oh my goodness, so THAT'S why Myrtle Street is closed!!!!!!!!!!
I did not connect the two things...
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:31, Reply)
last time it snowed my road got gritted
as it's a bus route, now the bus just doesn't bother coming this far up the road.

edit: I lie! I just went outside and there is grit there, must have just done it in the last few minutes - woo! not stranded
(, Tue 5 Jan 2010, 11:33, Reply)
