I have to go and get ready and be in work and not be here much until this afternoon
Last night my cat stood on the landing and said "Helloww?" in a really odd voice.
Then my ticker acted oddly.

Discuss weird stuff, or the price of travel.

Are you on the bacon slicer this morning?
I had a weird dream last night, it involved a dalek.

My dreams, oh my god
They frightened me. I'm never sharing them with anyone.

I had a weird dream
about being in an aeroplane and having trouble with turbulence from wing tip vortices.
(, Wed 17 Feb 2010, 8:48, Reply)
You should have Whitcomb winglets fitted
To ensure a good nights sleep then.
(, Wed 17 Feb 2010, 8:51, Reply)
Yes
but it wasn't my plane. Another one took off right in front of me and caused turbulence when I was going along the runway. Not much fun.

It's obviously a metaphor
for those really slow people who magically end up walking in front of you when you're on a busy road, no matter how hard you try to avoid them, and their constant flatulence has an effect similar to your problems with wing-tip vortices.

never ever ever
use Barclays Bureau de change

that is all
(, Wed 17 Feb 2010, 8:29, Reply)
I rarely use any bureau de change any more
I just stick my card in a local ATM when I get to where I'm going. And anything over about €/$/£20 or so goes on plastic anyway.
(, Wed 17 Feb 2010, 8:47, Reply)
Me too
but I dislike turning up in a country without any local currency (I do it all the time though).
(, Wed 17 Feb 2010, 9:22, Reply)
my dad sent me some new mastercard type thing
that you can use abroad without charges. it's a top-up credit card essentially, so you load what you wnat/think you'll need and off you go.

Me too
Did that in Switzerland in December, worked out great.

I do love how ignorant us Brits are when we travel though. Was over there for football, got through passport control in Basle and it hit us that no one knew what language they spoke or what currency they used.
