...at least I'm showing signs of psychic ability.
I woke up crying this morning. I'm fine but I had a hideous nightmare. A plane crashed right near my mum's house and it concided with bombs and apocalyptic classical music. We were watching a huge hotel get totally demolished in dramatic and choreographed fashion, and hoping the destruction didn't move any closer.
When it had all subsided, I put my arm round my nephew and said "Everything's gone..."
I woke up sobbing and thought I'd phone Nana because she gets up really early.Find a text on my phone from my friend/landlady about her sick brother: '[Billy]'s gone x'.
I need a hug. Or throw kittums and cakes at me. Or slap me. Whatever.
(Also, what IS the name of that dramatic apocalyptic classical music from horror/disaster films? NOT Carl Orff, but similar. Often accompanies horrific montages.)

Ta dude
My dreams are always really vivid, which is good when they're good, but exhausting when they're bad.
Also think it's odd that the word 'gone' came up twenty minutes AFTER her text had arrived, unbeknown to me. *spooked*

My sister had a nightmare
about a major plane crash once.
Later that day, a 747 fell on Lockerbie.
Coincidence? Yes, probably.

Indeed
I once had a dream about a helicopter crash in my gran's garden. Of course, it was just a dream, and nothing like that ever happened. But since then, helicopters have given me the fear a bit.
I love flying in fixed wing aircraft, but I'm in no hurry to ever go in a chopper.

with the image of a partially-written Outlook email imprinted on my mind. I knew it was from a girl who was interested in me and it was full of lovely cut-and-pasted quotes and sentiments which I could remember when my alarm went off but have now faded into obscurity.
Then I had a wank.

On the one hand, I'm deeply depressed about life and what I've seen.
How a man can be a grandfather of a lovely family, have a career that included a lot of the construction of state of isreal*, being a diplomat in north africa and doing something-or-other around the middle east. How a man can live for a good 60-70 years with a loving wife and family and all that.
And then to see him reduced to a shell of a man who'd be lucky to see christmas, would have been off dead in many respects, is never going to get better, covered in shit, crying, largly ignored, completely releaved of his metal facailties. Pathetic shells of the men they once were, still loved, yet slightly more resented.
And being in rooms with these people for a week, coming to the conclusion that if this situation means having my chance to say "Good bye" to dad, I'm glad I never got that.
* Politics about that being a good thing or not excluded... it's still quite an impressive thing.

At least I had the foresight to park up round the corner where I couldn't be seen.
