I'm going through old bands that I loved at the time, and finding what they've done since they "Made that single that everyone liked and now nobody knows who they are", or bands that you wish did more but haven't.
- Starrfadu
- Nizlopi
- Speedway
- Semisonic
- A*
I've listened to Dan Le Sac & Scroobulus Pip's latest album about 5 or 6 times now, and it's very disapointing compaired to the first one, in my opinion. They have a few good tracks, but in general it's not very good (in compairson).
* They have one good album, the rest is all expermental shit.

I saw them supporting Reef with Feeder years ago.
they were fucking awesome. never heard anything before or since.
I was just reading about Tool who are apparently working on their next album. I can't fucking wait!

The album they did with 'nothing' on was whicked, but I've got a couple of their other albums and they're rubbish.

Reef were so good I stopped listening to their CDs because it didn't compare. It was before Feeder became shit, and A were superb.
1994 I think it was.

I'd live to see The Offspring play one day, I'm not really into live music, but that's one I'd like to see.

partly because I'd feel awfully old there these days with the audience they probably get.
Reef did that song Place your hands
not one of their best frankly. Their best of album is worth having, if only for the cover of the Kenny Rogers song "Just dropped in (to see what condition my condition was in)"

It was better than anything Reef ever did.

Reef's cover of it is superb. Their best songs were a couple of their B sides strangely, called Talk to Me and Give me your love.
Supergrass have done some great stuff though, I'll give you that

My friend Chris used to call her Any Old Tool because she was very fond of public sex.

and she's had two replies, but you've had none. How does that make you feel?
EDIT: Fine, one.

Not only do I get an £80 fine for dropping a fag on the floor today, but this happens too !
This is NOT conductive to a positive outlook for today. In fact, quite the opposite, this is the worst day of my life.

I figure if I paid to litter, then I should have at least left it littered, it's a bit like paying for a meal and them taking it away again.
Life Sucks.

but if it stops people littering then I'm happy. But not happy that you have to pay £80, as you're my internet friend. You could pick up coins from the street until you've made £80 back, then you'll be removing litter AND reimbursing yourself.

I think it's fine as long as he does it to everyone who litters, there are loads of people who litter, we have two schools and a collage near me. If I wasn't waiting for the bus I would say "It's 11:30 and I'm waiting for a bus, I ovbously don't have a job, can we forget it this time and it won't ever happen again", but I was running really late.
At the end of the day, I shouldn't have done it, and I knew there could be a fine, but just didn't think. And as you said, it won't happen again.
I reckon though, they should wear some sort of high-vis clothing, not a black bomber jacket with a small logo on the back.

...I bought more albums from this label than I could afford at the time (late 80s). Last year I found about 20 that I didn't have at a car-boot sale and fell in love again.
Truly magical.

Secret Smile was wank, but Chemistry & Get A Grip were awesome.

did one album and they split. Got to see them live though :)
Had two guys from System of a Down in the band

See them live, seriously.
I got the album on Friday last week, and thought the same as you - a few good tracks, but overall it's not as good.
However, if you see them performing the same tracks live, I swear you'll like them more - they put a passion and humour into them that simply doesn't come across on a studio recording. I've been listening to the album again today after seeing them last night, and am finding the album ace now!
(, Wed 24 Mar 2010, 14:31, Reply)
I'd quite like to see them, I reckon their gigs would be quite good.
(, Wed 24 Mar 2010, 14:41, Reply)
is an awesome album.
I first got into them vaguely through that TV show 'The Young Person's Guide to Being a Rock Star'... Anyone remember that?
