And the fuckwittery continues.
Apparently feminism is still needed. Sorry.

Not feminism
Equality
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:30, Reply)
Just for once I am rescinding my normal stance.
This is purely and simply aimed at subjugation of women and is wrong. Just wrong.
I never thought I'd be a supporter of feminism but there you go.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:36, Reply)
It's not even about feminism though, is it?
I think it really boils down to a retarded man being retarded. A bit like that twat from the Westboro Baptist Church who said the flooding of New Orleans was "God's punishment" for the city's unashamed acceptance of homosexual behaviour.

I think Herr Trialprice is right in citing equality rather than feminism; it's a retarded man trying to use a feeble, pseudo-religious tissue of lies to further subjugate women, just as the other retarded man was trying to do the same to encourage the oppresion of homosexuality. But then I suppose it also depends on whether you define feminism as 'making women broadly equal' or 'making women superior.'
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:40, Reply)
broadly equal?
nope just equal in all respects. Definitely not superior. Trust me I wish I could kick radical lesbian seperatist 'feminists' in the arse as much as anyone especially because they never come forward when the issue really matters like this one
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:43, Reply)
When I say 'broadly equal'
I mean 'equal to within obvious biological limitations,' just to rule out some of the silliness that seems to crop up in the name of 'feminism.'
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:45, Reply)
fair enough
though as far as I'm concerned being smaller and having children doesn't really affect brainpower
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:54, Reply)
Having children does.
Stupid pregnant brain syndrome my wife's friend calls it.
But at least it's only short term.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:57, Reply)
No, it doesn't.
There's no reason why it should. Again to clarify, when I say 'biological limitations,' they're physical rather than mental.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:03, Reply)
See my previous posts on feminism\equality.
I am, normally, solely an egalitarian but this smacks of the need for radical feminism in the form of a severe telling off if you ask me.

*By telling off I mean a poke in the eye and by poke in the eye i mean a thorough ramming with a broken glass covered pole.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:45, Reply)
As in all things, we need to surge towards the other end of the scale before we slowly settle back to what is right and just.
I suggest they are pelted with stones every time they deem to look at a woman.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:48, Reply)
hm actually I don't think the scales have actually drifted that far
David Mitchell (who I don't even really like) made an absolutely excellent point in a paper I don't even really like. In key things women are still disenfranchised www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/apr/18/students-pole-dancing-david-mitchell
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:59, Reply)
I think what they mean is ......
By taking something sexually demeaning like pole dancing in a club and turning it into a fitness routine then you turn the act itself into something empowering.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:06, Reply)
Well I don't want to start an argument (lies)
It's a fitness routine all well and good, keep it as that. It's most definitely not empowering and attempts to brand it as such are cynical and anti-woman. But my actual point was women still face discrimination in key areas like equal wages for an equal job, and that the media focus less on that than abnormal once-off cases where women have it better
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 12:14, Reply)
yeah
'cos like, two wrongs totally make a right. If you want an end to predjudice you don't get it by introducing more predjudice but in a different direction.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:52, Reply)
No,
But I would take great satisfaction in kicking that cleric up the arse.
(, Wed 21 Apr 2010, 11:53, Reply)
If it wasn't for the extremes some people go to to express their anger at their subjegation then nothing would change.

I wondered about this yesterday
By that logic, then the volcano in Iceland must have been the result of some loose morals among the women there.

Of course we all know that there are some real slappers in Iceland.

Kerry Katona, for one.
