but my real hatred of them stems from the poor quality of their music, while still lauded as the best band in the world

Can't stand The Beatles, especially after living in Liverpool for four years.

listen to A Perfect Circle's version of Imagine. It urinates freely over the original

I love Nonpoint's version of In The Air Tonight but people tell me it's blasphemous

and whilst he's obviously a peddler of cheap, nasty '80s pop rather than blues, I think one point is universally valid.
"No one will believe it's the Blues if you wear a suit, 'less you happen to be an old ethnic person, and you slept in it."
Time to get the boot polish out, Phil

Bunch of overrated bandwagon-chasers, the lot of 'em - and yet, normally when I voice my opinion, all the Beatles fans in the room look at me like I've just introduced myself as the neighbourhood sex offender.

But did they change it for the better? Can we, in fact, blame the Beatles for ruining pop music?

And she was alright, I quite liked "Try Again", but I couldn't name any of her other songs.

come to think of it, I've never seen a film at the cinema that was worse than passable
(, Tue 25 May 2010, 13:21, Reply)
But I have seen some shite in the cinema. Peace Maker, Spiderman 3, Clash of the Titans...

It's got FUCKING DJINN in it!! I don't remember the epic poem being some kind of Ancient Greek Mythology/Arabic Mythology mashup?!
Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't read it all, but fucking DJINN?!
Oh, and the 3D made the film worse.
(, Tue 25 May 2010, 13:26, Reply)
not that I've seen it, but apparently Medusa is classified as a Titan.
SHE'S NOTTTT
(, Tue 25 May 2010, 13:27, Reply)
I was still fuming about the Djinn.
The only good thing about the movie is that it made me want to ride a giant scorpion to work.
(, Tue 25 May 2010, 13:28, Reply)
I'd heard that 3D made the film worse. I reckon it did with Alice in Wonderland too.
I really can't be arsed with 3D
(, Tue 25 May 2010, 13:30, Reply)
but I still think I would have enjoyed it the same amount in 2D. I can take it or leave it.

the Titans were the precursors to the Olympians (the current/well known lot of Gods)
Chronos is probably the most well-known.
(, Tue 25 May 2010, 13:44, Reply)
I'm assuming that there aren't any titans in it though, as it has the usual gods, a few gorgons and some fishy thing they call the Kraken

I really do fail to see what their appeal is, and yet for some reason they are lauded by some as one of the pinnacles of modern rock music. (Which might explain why modern rock music is so shit) And who decided "The Edge" was a good guitarist?
But whenever I get angry about that, this usually calms me down. (I was in the audience of this performance. Woo.)
