I did a bit of research, and norrowed it down to 2. I'm probably going to go with the one in an area I know, and the fact they have a proper website rather than a Myspace. But I've seen work by the other, and it's really very good.

I've heard good things about the one near the top of my road, so seems like a good place to start. what I want will be plain black, so won't require too much in the way of awesome skills, but I hear that the guys up the road are pretty good anyway.

There's a world of difference between good and bad artists :)

There's some nice pieces there, one or two shonky ones, but the majority is good enough (decent shading and line work). I'm quite critical though...

I'm not sure what they'll say about the design I'm thinking of for my first- it's a black one, but I'm worried that any image I show them will be copyrighted.
It's a mosaic, I'm not sure if that comes under any copyright laws.

which is why I'm a little concerned about copyright.

About the copyright of a photo of a mosaic.
(, Wed 9 Jun 2010, 10:43, Reply)
besides if you search for it using a restricted search where the copyright is free on say yahoo images or whatever I'm sure you'll find a reference photo.

on a website or whatever then there might be copyright issues, but using a photo of something to show someone the subject of the photo won't be a problem.
