Isn't that what sons do?
Surely.

Not really, maybe it's different where you're from, I donno.
Anyway, enough of that, I'll get back to the origional point of your post.

"Oh my goodness, well done on you, for being the only form of human contact this old lady has, making her unbearable final 9 months of her life slightly less unbearable. You're such a good decent hard working honest fellow, god will welcome you into his bussom come the after life. I'm sorry for the pure agonizing grief your'e going through at this time. My favorite poem/song for being emo with is that Forever Auterm one on the War of the Worlds sound track".

There we go, everyone cool now?
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:07, Reply)
Gonz, that is the most sarcastic thing you have ever written.
Really well done there.
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:10, Reply)
I'm a bit of a prick really, I've not done any (long term volunteering) before.

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:15, Reply)
Go volunteer at the Dogs trust. Then you can get the same warm fuzzy that B69 has when one of them is put to sleep.

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:17, Reply)
Warm fuzzy what?

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:19, Reply)
Do I really have to spell it out for you?

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:20, Reply)
Not me, Gonz.

hello treacle
how was your weekend? what happened to batshit/workboresme, she seems to have vanished off the face of the planet, you usually know what's going on with these things...
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:21, Reply)
Dunno love, she posted a thread about paying b69's mortgage then deleted it and buggered off again. No idea.
Edit: Weekend was good thanks, finally got round to seeing a non green screen version of Wolverine with friends last night, but managed to get sunburn after an hour in the sun with factor 15 sunscreen on. How was yours?
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:25, Reply)
i clocked some of the drama
but she now seems to have deleted her account altogether. i have never seen "wolverine", is that hugh jackman? with his kit off? maybe i should. i went up to see the family as i am off on holiday for a fortnight shortly and my brothers are away the same 2 weeks, so the father will be by itself!
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:30, Reply)
I know someone who's got a free spot who can look after him, if you want.

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:32, Reply)
you keep your old man murdering fingers off my old man

edit: actually, that was quite witty of you, i am laughing to myself. but quietly as the security guard is marauding around and i don't want him to think i am totally mad.
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:33, Reply)
Not me !
I'm at best, a (small term volunteering)er, I wouldn't even presume to the status of a (long term volunteering)er !
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:39, Reply)
both "small" and "long" are relative terms

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:41, Reply)
*BIG FAT MASSIVE WINK*

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:42, Reply)

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:50, Reply)
For shame. Oh well. Yeah it's the shit x-men film. Not worth it for him getting his kit off as it's a dire film.

I'm quite looking forward to all the new x-men films they're doing, like the prequals and stuff.
Out of all the marvel films, x-Men are my fave.

I did look into becoming a (long term volunteering) euthinationest at my local animal shelter.
But alas, they were only looking for (short term volunteering) to (medium term volunteering) people.
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:21, Reply)
try a homeless shelter instead

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:23, Reply)
Do they have euthinasia departments?

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:30, Reply)
well if they don't
you can set it as your first target. don't you ever let your dreams be constricted by other people's visions, gonz, you hear me?
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:32, Reply)
Maybe I should write a letter to the lottery people, they're great with this sort of thing.

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:35, Reply)
aye, it worked for the queen , didn't it?

(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:36, Reply)
Donno, never really understood the royal family.
It goes down from parent to child, doesn't it, and you're only The Queen/King when you're the son/daughter of the current king/queen, and they cark it.... so what is up with The Queen Mother, surely she should have been The Queen until she died, then it gets passed down to Liz... or did they fast forward it?... and if they did, surely it's time to give Charlie a go, it's not like he's got long left.
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:42, Reply)
whoa slow down there
i only meant because she has asked for lottery funding due to cash shortages...
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:49, Reply)
Oh, I don't really keep up with the news that much. I suppose at the end of the day, she won't go hungry.
What I mean though, is, was The Queen Mother ever the queen?
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:54, Reply)
yes of course
during ww2, she was the queen!

i am 99% sure of this.

there you go dude. she was the queen consort, ie queen because she was married to the king:

"A queen consort is the wife of a reigning king. A queen consort usually shares her husband's rank and holds the feminine equivalent of the king's monarchical titles. Most of the time, however, queen consorts have no real power.

Most queens in history were queens consort; the other kind, queens regnant (queens in their own right), who inherit the throne on the death of the previous monarch, are far fewer in number"
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:55, Reply)
Oooh, I get it, that 'consort' thing, ain't heard of that before.
I was thinking that Liz would still be a princesses until Queen Mother died, a bit like how Charles will only be king when Liz dies.... but that Queen Mother lived to see Queen Liz become Queen, which is where I thought it was unusual.
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 23:08, Reply)
she also lived to be 1003
there was something fishy going on there
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 23:10, Reply)
Reptials live to quite a grand age, maybe that David Ickle is onto something.
Thinking about it though, I can't imagine being alive 100 years ago, she's probably seen more changes in, well, anything, than most other living people, the 20th century humanity leepfrogged itself in so many way.
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 23:12, Reply)
You should try it Gonz
Even cunts like me do it.

Not the fingering the elderly bit though.
(, Sun 4 Jul 2010, 22:18, Reply)
Where do you volunteer?
I think I might get quite a lot out of it, I like helping people, for yonks I thought about putting up a sign in the local shops about dog walking for old/infirm people, but when I looked into it, with all the insurance stuff, it scared me off a little.

Hopefully this-time-next-year, I'd be in a place with a nice garden, maybe possibly remotely a place of my own, if I can, I'd love to train theorpy dogs, I honestly can't think of anything I would find more rewarding.
