I had an awesome curry the other night. Achar lamb it was called. Really interesting taste to it.

this was at my parents' local, where on a tuesday they do starter, main, side and rice or naan for just under a tenner.
the curry used indian pickling spices, so it had a kind of hot and sour taste to it. sort of like a dhansak, but more sour. possibly had some lime in it.

My pal's chicken last night was made up by him on the spot but tasted like a classic dish, definitely to be repeated.

there's a new place in town called Exeter Sausage and Grill which I need to go to.
The chef is from a pub where I used to go to their monthly pie night. Best pies I've ever had. I'm confident that he will have used his skills to make and cook a mean sausage.
