I had to have my rat put down last night
so I has a bit of a sad today.

The vet was really nice though and even though she was obviously dying and I'd said on the phone that I thought she needed to be put down, the vet still broke the news to me really nicely which I thought was sweet.

she was well over 3 and I knew she wasn't long for this world
so I'm not a big sobbing wreck or anything. Plus I've still got Sheldon who is in the first flush of youth and is much friendlier.

I did enjoy freaking out some people in my building though
they walked past me and all they could see was her little ratty face wrapped in a towel so I think they thought I'd found her in a drain or something and decided to be a good samaritan.
