Boooo
How's abroad?
(, Thu 22 Jul 2010, 22:09, Reply)
very hot
generally 34 by ten o'clock. And they charged me ten euros to see the one thing I was bothered about seeing in Malta.

How're you doing?

I'm not bad
Other than being slightly ill, and the bride for the wedding on Saturday saying I need to do more things which weren't previously on my to-do list. And it's far too warm here, I want some rain.

hope you feel better
before the Saturday. What do you have to do apart from get the groom drunk and write a speech?
(, Thu 22 Jul 2010, 22:22, Reply)
Oh, a ridiculous amount apparently which aren't usually best man duties
Organise people for photos, direct people at the reception, be in charge if anything goes wrong at the reception. Oh, and make sure the groom manages to put his kilt on properly.

you should rope some ushers in
to give you a hand. Then proclaim yourself their king and sit there and direct them

I did threaten with wearing a top hat with my kilt

be a martinet
insist on a dress rehearsal where you drill people into formation in straight lines. (a) they will take the job from you or (b) you'll have no trouble on the actual day

Put that in the speech
Take a collapsible one, and put it on as you mention it
