For some bizarre reason, I was being forced to kick my dog (who was alive back then). In the dream I was crying and apologising, and Bozwell was looking up at me with sad eyes as if saying "Why are you hurting me? I love you!".
I cannot remember why I was being forced to do it, I can only remember how horrific it was.

You know when an animal's sick or something and they think you can make it better or that you're causing but you can't fix it and they're sad at you.

But whenever I was ill, he'd be right by me, whining a little, like he knew something was wrong and felt helpless because he's just a dog and can't make me lemsip.

He puts his paw on my arm like "If you need to talk..."

If he puts his paw on my arm, it's usually cos he's about to start purring maniacally and ripping it to shreds for fun.

I had a similar dream to that. Something had happened to my old dog and we were in the middle of nowhere so I basically had to strangle her to put her out of her misery, and was getting that same look.
Really horrible.

I can't watch that scene in I Am Legend with the dog, as it came out just after we had Boz put down.

The Jean Luc Godard film Week End has an early extended tracking shot of a traffic jam in which everyone is dead. It just keeps going and the length of the shot and sheer number of dead bodies caused a number of people to start laughing. Later in the film you see a pig being slaughtered and many people walked out at that point. Now obviously the people were acting and the pig wasn't, but I don't think that that was the only reason why people left. I think we are more sensitive to the suffering of animals.
Though, of course it's also possible that they'd reached the point of thinking "Right, I've had enough of this pretentious shit."

That's so sad. I really hope it was only a nightmare, and not a repressed memory.
