I'll take you on a tour of the area - are you going to be in Melbourne at all?

I thought she meant my winter time :( Not yours. Guess I can't do that then. *gutted*

I have about 10 days free on my time of travelling so far.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:26, Reply)
but that sounds pretty good to me.

So you won't be too stuck. Work out any date you can make, and we'll arrange a bash for it
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:32, Reply)
from around the 6th to the 10th? On the 10th though I'll be in Yorkshire.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:33, Reply)
I hope we buck the trend, and go for a Saturday bash, as I'm at a gig on the friday, and would prefer to not be a sweaty mess at a bash (again)

You'll just have to add the event to the calendar yourself, then, to make sure it's a sat
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:47, Reply)
IIRC, it's the same weekend we had the bash last year, where BGB repainted her hotel room

And a few suggestions. I'll do my best to be here. I'm going to write it down in my calendar now.

I meant I'll be staying in yorkshire on the 10th of DECEMBER.
On the 6th of november I'll be sitting my Psychology exam.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 11:08, Reply)
If it's the 6th of December I can't make it for sure. I'll be leaving England at the end of November for 3 blessed months.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 11:18, Reply)
but sad at the same time. are you free between then 26th and 29th of November? Maybe we could catch up then?
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 11:24, Reply)
Otherwise I'd offer you my flat. I'll be able to tell you something closer to the day.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:46, Reply)
so depending on whether or not we've ironically switched places by then, I might have a bed for you
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:49, Reply)
I'll definitely take you up on it if we haven't swapped continents.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:52, Reply)
But I could always come up and pay you all a visit, couldn't I?
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:29, Reply)
starting in Adelaide where some friends live, then going across to Sydney and then up to Brisbane, so I won't be in Melbourne I'm afraid. We can only go for 2 weeks because Wiggy can't take more than 2 weeks off at a time :(

Greyhound tours are pretty good I've heard - so that's a good idea. I warn you though - pack at least one set of warm clothes. What time of winter were you planning on going?
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:25, Reply)
I always pack a couple of jumpers, I'm like a lizard even in hot countries.
I've got no idea of distances and time frames though, how long do you reckon a Greyhound bus would take to go from say Adelaide to Sydney? It's got about 5 stops on the way as well.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:51, Reply)
That's a long, long flight for 2 weeks, but it's better than nothing. I'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot and he'll want to go again.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:25, Reply)
He might be able to persuade them to let us have 3 weeks, but I can't rely on it so I think I'll work on 2 weeks and if we get extra time then that's a bonus.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 10:51, Reply)
3 weeks is just about right, if you don't do stop-overs on the way. I'm so happy you've finally convinced him. I hope you get to save the money.
(, Mon 26 Jul 2010, 11:05, Reply)
As soon as I get a tenant in my rental property I won't be quite so stretched so it shouldn't be impossible. Having said that though, things always seem to pop up and sap my savings!
