Couldn't have done, were to busy laughing at mongs.
There was some bloke sitting behind her who ordered chips at the pub (I think it was _just_ chips), and bought out a loaf of bread from his bag.

I decided tonight that although I feel sorry for people who go to the pub by themselves (it's cool if you're in a strange town on buisness or something, but I'm talking about reguarly or generally) and don't talk to anyone, in a small way, I wish I could take them home and make sure they have a decent feed.

I reckon there should be a superhero there called The Socialisor, who goes around having friendly conversations with strangers in pubs who sit staring at wall for 8 hours nursing a pint, and show them the way of the offlisance that'll give them booze that they can drink at home watching telly instead.

Thing you gotta ask yourself is, do you want to really assosiate with the kind of people who's lives are so dull and miserable that they need to spend all day in a pub by themselves.
Instead, join a local 'walking' group, where they tour old buildings with bricks that have carved in them "This house was owned by Thomas Lipton in 1857" and "This brick was layed by Her Magisty, The Dukehairest of Yorkshire"... or a local collage course.

which was in a local newsletter I got through my door. Not sure how they feel about crocheted eyeballs, though
