I was under the impression that the DJ's job was to play what the audiance wanted, rather than what he wants.
I tend to find it's quite rare when I'd go to a client "NO, YOU SHALL HAVE WHAT YOU'RE GIVEN AND YOU SHALL BE PLEASED".
