By sewing a leather patch on your arm/elbow. A crappy sports jacket with leather elbow pads is the ultimate teacher look.

I did my teacher clothes shop recently. I now own two pairs of cordurouy trousers, dark green, beige. Several check shirts and two non crappy jackets, one with elbow pads. I considered a bow tie but there is only so much dickish clothing one man can pull off.
