I'll probably describe it all wrong and someone will break their neck. He said you should focus on one point fully to the left of you (if your stairs go to the left) and then as you walk around, keep your head in that position until you're facing as much to the right as possible. Then turn your head quickly to start again. He likened it to how ballet dancers do pirouettes, keeping their head still and then turning it sharply.
