That link goes nowhere for me here I'm afraid.

Fucking ebay, the site's code is a fucking mess.

I just lost an Ebay bidding war
for a 1971 Fisher Price kid's record player that BGB tipped me to.

Fucking gutted I am.

my brother had one of those
it played things like twinkle twinkle.
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 17:57, Reply)
That's the one.
My daughter has a keyboard with mic and she does a great distorted punk rock version of Twinkle Twinkle. I thought it'd be nice for her to start playing records like her dad.

A mate of mine customised one to play actual records so he could play 45s at record fairs, the nerd.

mess with electronic toys to make crazy music?

I believe so, on YouTube
One of my pals has a Rolf Harris stylophone from the 70s.

ah! My brother had one of those that we mic'ed up
it was great fun, if you like the sound of cats chewing bumble bees
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 18:08, Reply)
I've got a Stylophone Beatbox thing
You'd be welcome to have for your daughter.

I was given it one Christmas for reasons beyond me. Never wanted it, never used it.

If you're giving it away,
I'll take it! I've been wanting to get my hands on one of these for ages!
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 18:48, Reply)
They only cost a tenner.
I'd happily give it to a kid, but I'm not posting it to an adult - unless they can give me some justification as to why they'd expect me to send it to them!

aww my friend had one
in the olden days. I was proper jealous
(, Tue 5 Oct 2010, 18:02, Reply)
we MIGHT still have ours
my mother kept a lot of those sorts of things in the vague hope of grandchildren one day. yeah, right.

i'll have a look at home. if we have, it's yours. BUT don't hold your breath, my dad binned quite a lot of stuff after my mum died, so.
