I hate them
They look shit. Although one friend actually manages to look ok in them, but then she's stick thin so the trousers make her legs not look like twigs.

I have a friend who works in Harvey Nicks so she has to wear fashionable stuff
and she has some harem pants that are made of tailored brushed cotton so they're not really saggy so much as gathered and pleated so they look quite nice. It's the jersey ones that look like a full nappy.

yeah pretty much
they have a really low crotch so whilst they suited Jasmine in Aladdin, non-animated women can't pull it off.
