Matters not.
I don't need much sleep, I can function quite nicely with as little as 5 hours a night. Anymore than 7 hours and I can't get going at all.

I had all of four hours sleep last night
Now I need a pee.

and me
it drives boyfriends and friends mad when they just want to lie in bed hungover and i am ready to get up and start doing stuff after about 5 hours.
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:29, Reply)
I can't to 'awake and staying in bed'
Once awake, I have to get up and start being active.
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:32, Reply)
I'm with you on this
I just bounce out of bed at 8 and people give me funny looks.
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:32, Reply)
i really don't get
how people can lie there and snooze. if you're awake, get up!
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:37, Reply)
What are you doing in bed with 8 people?

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 13:26, Reply)
Ugh, you're wrong in the head
7 hours sleep is the minimum I need to be functional. Functional, not bright and active etc.
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:30, Reply)
Likewise

You certainly seemed to need a few more hours
to work the Rohypnol out of your system.

Which was particularly annoying as I'd been awake for a couple of hours already and could really have done with some breakfast.
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:32, Reply)
I'm fairly sure I have
already told you about my bacon cooking shenanigans. You can make your own damned breakfast :P
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:33, Reply)
7 hours is loads of sleep

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:32, Reply)
too much sleep
I'd say. I slept for ages last night and in proof that his is not a good thing, I shall cite my dreams. Instead of four or five short ones, I had one long dream
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:35, Reply)
I thought you had a dream
in each sleep cycle, of which you have several a night, and you only remember the last dream you had?
/may be total bollocks
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:38, Reply)
It is total bollocks.

(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:42, Reply)
Wiki - and what I remember of neuroscience from uni - says otherwise
dreaming most strongly correlates with periods of REM sleep, of which you can have up to five separate periods of per night.
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:46, Reply)
Except that at the average length of sleep cycle
I generally go through only one or perhaps 2 complete cycles in my sleep, yet generally have distinct dreams.

Also the actual time felt far longer in my dream
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:51, Reply)
There is that, I guess
although I really don't know how you function at all on the amount of sleep you get!
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:58, Reply)
I had the most mental dream last night
But as there is nothing more boring than listening to some talking about their dreams, I'll not go into detail. Suffice to say it was mental.
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:40, Reply)
I don't remember last night's dream
possibly because I only had 4 hours sleep and I feel rough as old balls.
(, Thu 14 Oct 2010, 11:42, Reply)
there are many many things more boring than that
