i'd say poppadums, onion bhaji, chunks of cod tikka on a bed of sizzling onions and peppers and boiled rice.
in london, where they just can't do the fish right, it has to be poppadums, onion bhaji, vegetable dansak/jalfrezi/bhuna and mushroom rice.

i am always disappointed by the fish curry down here. sang am in manchester... omg omg. it's just massive white chunks of cod, chargrilled in spices. amazing. and you don't feel toooo fat and dirty afterwards!

Not in Lev, and not Indian either, but have you ever been to Aladdin's in Fallowfield/Withington? It's Syrian, and best falafel I've ever, ever had. Every time I go there I end up stuffed. It's amazing.
