Tarka daal, naan, pilau rice, masala dosa, muttar paneer, sweet lassi, poppadoms, that ridiculously hot yoghurt sauce from Tayyab's
Well, that's all the stuff I like. Dunno if I could eat that all. I'll damn well try.

I've been really enjoying daal
Recently.

But then there is always the Chinese option to consider.

if i were in manchester where they do it properly
i'd say poppadums, onion bhaji, chunks of cod tikka on a bed of sizzling onions and peppers and boiled rice.

in london, where they just can't do the fish right, it has to be poppadums, onion bhaji, vegetable dansak/jalfrezi/bhuna and mushroom rice.

Or however you spell it. I've been meaning to do so for years. It sounds amazing.

I think it's in Castlefield
Not in Lev, and not Indian either, but have you ever been to Aladdin's in Fallowfield/Withington? It's Syrian, and best falafel I've ever, ever had. Every time I go there I end up stuffed. It's amazing.

It looks well scummy from the outside but it's really, really good.

It was a popular part of breakfast.
