It's better than calling everyone 'duck'
*Gets all defensive about his home City*
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:37, Reply)
hah
I like "duck" mainly because my grandparents came from stoke, so it has good associations

that's nottingham
as i found out this weekend, never having been there before.

coincidental but correct!

Are you originally from a more Mancunian part of the world?

(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 18:45, Reply)

i am from yorkshire, but we moved to buckinghamshire when i was very little. then up to cheshire when i was about 10. which is why i don't really sound very northern!

Have you got rid of your house-guests yet?

(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 19:16, Reply)
no
tomorrow. they want to take me out for dinner tonight but i don't want to eat anything after a lasagne for lunch, so i am planning to make my excuses and slope off elsewhere.
(, Sun 24 Oct 2010, 19:23, Reply)
Tell them to leave you out of dinner, but suggest they might want to buy you a NICE bottle of wine instead?
Have you been checking the carpet in the spare room on a daily basis? Just. In. Case.
