oh and Foo Fighters are playing MK next year.
Can I please have all your opinions of the Foo Fighters because that'll really matter.

They're alright.

Tickets on sale tomorrow morning,
which means I'll have to be on time for work.
Supported by Death Cab for a cutie and Jimmy Eat world I think.
edit: and Biffy Clyro
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:09, Reply)
Cliffy Biro are boring
JEW are awesome but apparently their new album is rubbish. Deathcab are ok, but proper emo.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:16, Reply)
Biffy are really over rated
I don't mind them but I have no idea why they were up for the Mercury
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:18, Reply)
Only heard a couple of Biffy Clyro songs. They were shit.
Saw Jimmy Eat World supporting Green Day at the MK bowl.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:20, Reply)
They're alright, wouldn't pay to see them but I've heard they're great live

(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:08, Reply)
I crowd surfed to Monkey Wrench in my youth.

(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:10, Reply)
Odd
'Best of You' just came on shuffle.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:18, Reply)
They're alright
I don't understand why they are as popular as they are, but they are okay.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:17, Reply)
They're kinda inoffensive, middle-of-the-road, but decent musicians
And Dave Grohl seems like an alright chap.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:20, Reply)
I've grown out of them.
Either that or they've progressively got more shit and repetitive.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:09, Reply)
I love 'em
saw them on their first tour in Paris and their second at Glasto 98. Not seen them since. Probably should, that will give me more opportunity to perve on Dave Grohl
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:10, Reply)
too many average songs
they've got some great ones, but too many are dull.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:10, Reply)
Well they won't be playing all their bad songs at a big gig will they?

(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:11, Reply)
I think that a lot of their singles number among the average songs
Learn to fly for example
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:13, Reply)
Anyone who releases 15 albums a year
is going to have quality control issues. Dave Grohl is a nice chap whose heart is in the right place, but his band are mediocre and extremely patchy: best work: Probot feat LEMMY KILMISTER.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:12, Reply)
but, but Them Crooked Vultures?
Admittedly it does help that Joss Homme has a voice made of sex
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:14, Reply)
Them Crooked Vultures are exactly the same as every other band that Josh Homme is in

(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:17, Reply)
+ only better

(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:18, Reply)
and with 100% more sexiness

(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:20, Reply)
Bollocks
If a totally unheard of band issued that album it would sell about 12 copies to the band members mum and dads. THe only reason it got hyped so much is all teh sad music critics wanking over the thought of a former member of led zepplin playing with a former member of nirvana and a guy who made a brilliant second album with his second band followed by a reasonable third album and since then has produced nothing of merit.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:25, Reply)
well
maybe I would have been one of those 12 people.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:28, Reply)
Nope it would have been the singers mum and dad
the bass players mum and dad and sister and brother and the drummers mum, stepdad, dad, stepdad, grandma and aunt carol.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:29, Reply)
But, but,
John Paul Jones.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:19, Reply)
if you want John Paul Jones
listen to Zeppelin

if you want Josh Homme listen to QOTSA

I've gone off Them Crooked Vultures at a steady rate since they released their album.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:23, Reply)
i disagree
(unless there has been another album I don't know about)
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:25, Reply)
See above
I saw them at download, I have never seen such a disinterested crowd.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:25, Reply)
To be fair though,
At download, everyone was just waiting for the ULTIMATE EXTRAVAGANZA that was AC/DC, so everything else paled in comparison.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:33, Reply)
AC/DC played at Leeds a few years ago
I didn't bother going to see them.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:46, Reply)
You are a knob, then.

(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 15:47, Reply)
there are some moments of genius on there
interesting time signatures and stuff, but that's not enough to hold my interest.
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:28, Reply)
He’s ginger, and his surname is ‘Homme’. Next please.

(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:44, Reply)
I was expecting more hate.
More that 1 in 5,000,000 people have heard of them you know?
(, Thu 28 Oct 2010, 14:14, Reply)
They're awesome
And fantastic live
