Right that's it.
All that talk of roast meat has made me want to buy a joint to roast tonight.

I can then have it in sandwiches for the rest of the week.

What is the best roast meat for sandwiches?

I'm thinking pork.

agreed

(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:21, Reply)
I'm inclined to agree with you
Beef is a close second, but tends to be a bit tough the day after. Chicken I always find too dry. And I suspect only Vipros has had duck/goose/swan/bald eagle in a sandwich.

Mayo will stop the chicken becoming too dry

What you say is true
(Though good mayonaisse is hard to come by in this country) I think pork also has the advantage of a better flavour than chicken breast.

there is never enough duck left over for sandwiches

(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:33, Reply)
Chicken
And for your sarnies a sprinkling of salt and pepper and a blob of mayo.
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:21, Reply)
That's a good point actually,
and probably the cheapest option.
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:22, Reply)
you can also vary the sandwiches more
like coronation chicken, or have it with sweet chilli sauce etc.

Sorry chompy
Your thread wasn't there when I started.
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:22, Reply)
Why do you hate me so much?

(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:23, Reply)
Beef.
Lovely roasted and lovely in a sarnie either either horseradish or caramelised onions.
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:23, Reply)
Why not both?

(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:25, Reply)
Well you could do I suppose.

(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:27, Reply)

Hot meat sandwiches = pork
Cold meat sanwiches = beef.
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:24, Reply)
Ham

(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:27, Reply)
Pot Noodle. With a little finely chopped polystyrene (which has been marinated in distilled water).

The Great British roast
Overcooked meats with overcooked vegetables.

Yummy

(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:39, Reply)

ha you got totally threadstomped
and everyone is in the other thread, having tea and cake and a nice chat and no one is in here.

I just popped in to mock you and now I'm going back to the other thread because it's way cooler in there.
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:39, Reply)
Roast beef with a bit of mustard
horseraddish sauce is probably a bit sloppy for sandwiches
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 14:54, Reply)
Not if the bread is thickly home-sliced my colonelular friend
