God damn fucking phamacy, fucking crap's sake piece of fucking shit dickheads.
I rang them up on satruday to see if they had my prescription, they said 'no', I asked to double check and they still said 'no'. I rang the doctors today and apparently they did pick it up on saturday. They don't open 'till 9:30. It takes me an hour to get into work, so I'm going to be late on a monday morning when everyone who doesn't know about my stomach stuff is going to think I've got a fucking hang over or are lazy or something like that.... when really I've been up since 5 and ready to leave since 7:15.

I'm going to have to be shit-hot at my job today to make up for this, or work late, or anything like that.

It's one thing this happening because of a medical problem, it's completely another for a burocrattic one.

When you get in just apologize and explain the situation to your boss and say you'll try not to let it happen again.

alternatively, is it possible to call your boss ahead of time to let him know what's happened?

^ this is a way better idea.
As an employer I can say I'd far rather have advance notice of lateness: plus it shows the person is awake and not merely oversleeping.

Yeh', I phoned them as soon as I could and they seem cool with it, it's just that I'm not cool with it.
And I can't say that I'll try not to let it happen again, 'cus it will happen again, 'cus of the nature of the tablets I need.

Is it possible to speak to your pharmacy and explain that you really don't see their actions as satisfactory and why?
because that way they know you're not happy and why, and they might be able to change things so that it doesn't happen again.

Just managed to get through to the phamacy, they deffo don't have it.
And I just managed to get through to the doctors and they say it's been done but they don't have it.

They're now phoning each other to sort this out.

Pete's sake.

Then ring the doctors surgery and ask about getting the perscription sent to a pharmacy near your work.
Thus showing that you are taking steps to ensure it doesn't happen again.

That's a good idea, but who sung this?

Not really practical, as that means I have to wait sevral days for it all to get done where on weekly stuff, if there is a mess up, I'm completely screwed.

Oh fucking great, it was at the doctors all along, done on friday, when I asked what happened they said "We don't know, but it's on the [phamacy I go to] clip now"
Fucking fuck's sake.
