Just reading over everyone's reactions because I was pissed at the time.

Oh! Look at that! That ring is so beautiful!!
Congratulations. I'm a lot more excited about yours than the prince's wedding, if that makes you happy.

Do you have a date already?

No date, taking it easy
We have to get in the same postcode first!
The ring is very 'me'. He got it comissioned and knew exactly what I wanted.
Amethyst is my birthstone.

It's very prety
and shows how much he cares for you, getting a ring made as he thought you'd like it and having it right! It's not easy!

Good luck with the moving close, I hope you can do it soon. If you need help when you start preparing things, maybe I can give you a couple of tips :)

Congrats again!
I loved DiT's photo of the recreation of events, but I have to ask, how tall are you? That pic makes you look... fun size.

I used to love being round there as a 'Goff'
We're in massive boots, the kids are in fashion trainers (i.e. no grip). Watching them shout at us, then try to run when we turn, and fall flat on their face - comedy at it's finest.

I'm about 5'4"

(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 11:31, Reply)
Ahh, that's not that short
I think it's just the perspective of the pic!
(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 11:32, Reply)
Isn't it too big for you though?

(, Wed 17 Nov 2010, 11:28, Reply)
Slightly.
I have no knuckles.
The ring he was secretly measuring was from my right hand, and is squared so stays on better.
I'm collecting it on Saturday.

Sweet, love the secret measuring, haha!
My brother in law slightly marked a ring he wore, so he'd 'have to take it in to be cleaned, do you want your doing too?'

It was the most ingenious thing I've ever seen him do, he got her ring size from that, was superb.
