I was into The Jam big time.
Ska was big around my teens and I wore a fish tail parka and bus conducter trousers. I looked like a fat Chrissie Hynde.

Cant be doing with them
Weller always comes across as a cunt. Only gig I've ever walked out of was a Weller one and I met my wife afterwards that night, so I suppose I should thank him for being fucking tedious!

I can't stand Paul Weller now but at 15 he was God.

No, and it didn't have bunny ears either - not your cup of tea at all...

This is the most disappointing thing I've heard all week :(

Don't you live in Derby?
Surely you must have an appropriately adjusted level of disappointment?
(, Thu 25 Nov 2010, 9:13, Reply)
I don't live in Derby

Is it true that they have eyes?

I heard they were alive, with the sound of music.

I loved Chrissie Hynde when I was 15.
There was a trip to see The Pretenders in Redcar. It wasn't a professional job just run by an enthusiast, and was setting off early so that the seaside could also be enjoyed. None of my friends were sufficiently interested to shell out the cash so I was due to go by myself. My Mum, thinking that it would be no fun for me, booked herself and her Mum onto the coach and they explored the delights of Redcar whilst I went to the gig. A girl came and sat with me on the coach on the way home and I had to desperately try to pretend that I didn't know my Mum and Gran.
