then all the luck to you
sometimes you have to do annoying things like communting for a bit in order to get to the thing you want

Thank you!
I'm not too proud to take (almost) any job at the moment, seeing as the country is broken and all that!

you wanna hear my miserable collection of jobs I had in the years following my graduation!
Spar, some office somewhere, snappy snaps, jessops (this is my 23rd job after 13 years).

You'll be fine if you have a good start now

You have to start somewhere though, it's getting out to work at all which is what I want
I loathe being on the dole.

Whatever you do don't get a job litter-picking at a racecourse.
It was by far the worst job I've ever had. Even loading industrial rubbish onto a conveyor belt was better than that.

I once worked as a cleaner
for a day. I thought I should have an experience of manual work before I started university

It's about a hundred times worse when you're constantly getting hassled and having things thrown at you by drunk idiots who think they're comedians.

that sounds awful
I thought my experience was bad enough, being stuck cleaning holiday homes with a woman who talked for four hours about Big Brother

I was a cleaner for two months over the summer season
and chambermaiding with the odd surprise, like gigantic spiders in holiday cottages and people sneaking in dogs, or wetting the beds. Would not do that job again unless I was provided with thicker gloves and more money.

I'm not sure i'm hardy enough for outdoor work
I am a bit of a pansy like that.
