BADASS SUNDAY NIGHT THREAD
One of you might not wake up tomorrow, are you happy with your life so far?
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 21:09, 148 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Pretty good so far
As for tonight, I have some revision to do, some lasange to eat and once those are done with, a bottle of JD and a couple of hours re-watching "Those magnificent men in their flying machines".
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 21:13, Reply)
It's a mixed bag.
I've had a ridiculous amount of fun but never fill my potential because I'm far too lazy.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 21:15, Reply)
aaah, the old "never filled my potential" excuse

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 21:26, Reply)
I don't think it's an excuse
I lack the intelligence to motivate myself.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 21:32, Reply)
then surely you have fulfilled your potential?
unless you mean that your potential is what you could do if you were someone completely different.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 21:44, Reply)
i'd be happier if it was over

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 21:26, Reply)
I've enjoyed myself on the whole
and helped other people do the same. I'd be satisfied with that.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 22:14, Reply)
It's been interesting, a good innings overall with lots of variation.

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 22:49, Reply)
life not cricket

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:02, Reply)
life is cricket.
cricket is life.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:04, Reply)
cricket is bullshit

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:05, Reply)
shows what you know

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:06, Reply)
I like cricket
not so much watching it on tv though. It reminds me of summer, strawberries and green fields, and being able to fall asleep, and wake up with nothing really having happened in the meantime
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:07, Reply)
it's dull dull dull dull

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:09, Reply)
i can only assume then, that you are a preposterous idiot
etc
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:10, Reply)
can't agree
I'd rather watch cricket than football. The 'barmy army' can fuck right off though
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:12, Reply)
The lack of violence shown by the Barmy Army whilst on foreign soil is alarming, I must admit.

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:33, Reply)
After seeing the things I've seen
and this here story I'm about to unfold, I can die with a smile on my face without feeling like the good lord gipped me.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:00, Reply)
Alright dude

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:01, Reply)
i am very happy with
my academic and professional achievements. also my social life, i am very lucky in having lots of amazing friends. and i have the best family in the world.

i am not happy with the way i look. i am not happy with the shitty men i meet.

there may be a correlation between the last two.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:24, Reply)
Is anybody really happy with the way they look?
Always room for improvement etc.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:33, Reply)
the shitty men that i meet
are generally pretty happy with themselves.

generally without good reason.
(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:35, Reply)
Anyone still around?

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:55, Reply)
AUNT ROOTA IS HERE

(, Sun 5 Dec 2010, 23:58, Reply)
Evening Aunty
How are you?
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:01, Reply)
I'm about 1000 times better than I was this afternoon
There has to be a balance. You can't have everything, but I've got more than a lot of folk.
I smoked a roll-up and I feel guilty, but the pub gaffer was being dead kind by rolling me one and giving me a glass of vino.
Most people I know are very kind to me.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:04, Reply)
Glad you're feeling better
a rollup every once in a while does no harm, especially not if it makes you feel better. And you deserve people being kind
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:12, Reply)
But just make sure you eat properly.

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:18, Reply)

I'm a bit wobbly.

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:28, Reply)
I haz hangover brewing.

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:33, Reply)
hello you
good weekend?
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:02, Reply)
It's been a weekend of peaks and troughs, Raquel
But mostly it's been good.
I made the baby laugh so much that he shouted at me every time I stopped making him laugh.

How's yours been?
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:07, Reply)
good glad it was fun
i too have been entertaining a baby, although a bit older than yours, mine is just 1. he is divine and he was very good, although even beautiful and on his best behaviour, he has still reminded me to make sure the next guy i shag wears at least 3 condoms at once.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:24, Reply)
3?
I know it's cold, but modern sleeps bags are dead good.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:26, Reply)
Haha I hear ya
I adore them but I don't see me ever losing sleep or peace of mind over one on a regular basis.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:31, Reply)
Good morning
Ive had an incredibly productive day.
Even if i wasnt an insomniac, my brain is so wired with happy I wouldnt be able to sleep for ages
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:09, Reply)
This is the fucking problem with being so tired you can't sleep at 6pm
and going to bed. You'll wake up 3 hours later refreshed :/ So I'm drinking green iced tea.

I'm never fucking happy with anything. To die peacefully in my sleep would not be that much of a big deal for me, although there are a few things that I'm looking forward to in the near future I have no long term plans and I don't really give a shit about anything.

I've not had a bad life by any means, I've been very very lucky. I'm just not too fussed.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:00, Reply)
Welcome to my world :(
I often wonder whether insomnia is driving me very slowly and quietly insane.

Good weekend?
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:02, Reply)
Tiredness is creeping back over me
I'll probably go to sleep again soon. Only to wake at 5 in the morning or something...

Fairly good weekend. Watched the cricket until tea Australia time, but doing other shit while doing that (watching Charlie Brooker, arguing whether Olivia Wilde was fit or not (she is), discussing the portrayal of bears in games and other shit like that) You? When are you coming to London?
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:07, Reply)
Olivia Wilde is hot
as is Charlie Brooker. Well not hot, but oddly attractive.

I hope to be in London quite soon :) I have a free ticket down as it happens
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:12, Reply)
Christina Hendricks is hot.

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:13, Reply)
Now both he and I agree on that

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:14, Reply)
she really is
I want to look like that
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:19, Reply)
Same :(

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:23, Reply)
I was saying to swipe
I am re-tempted to dye my hair red. Not because of Christina Hendricks just generally
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:25, Reply)
Oooooh, like FHSP? Or natural?
I think that'd look quite nice, but how pale are your eyebrows? You don't want to accidently wash yourself out.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:27, Reply)
my eyebrows are slightly darker than my hair
I'd probably just use a bit of pencil on them. Not sure whether to go natural or something more dramatic. Not sure if I could pull it off without looking like goth gone wrong
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:31, Reply)
I think Classics Boy aspires to be, if not him, quite like him.
Though he did admit he couldn't understand how he ended up with Konnie Huq.
I personally love Simon Amstell. /most pointless crush ever

Excellent news! Of course if it is Thursday you're coming I will NOT be able to see you. It's the Christmas Party and I will be looking HOT.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:14, Reply)
Hmm
people pretending to be Charlie Brooker piss me off a little bit. Konnie Huq is pretty and actually has a really good sense of humour so I'd guess those are good reasons.

Ticket is transferrable so I shall pick a suitable date
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:20, Reply)
She's got great tits too.
Please let me know! I need me some Amberl Action. You're welcome to stay if you need to.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:22, Reply)
Aww thanks :)
a Friday sometime might be nice if you're around. I'm here until the 15th
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:26, Reply)
Yes, Fridays are generally alright
I'm around til past then, then back down on the 30th. We should totes sync our calendars.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:28, Reply)
Sounds good

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:35, Reply)
PLAN!
Oh, this will be exciting.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:38, Reply)
did you see those overs played this morning?
like a twenty20 match, incredible, bell just looks stunning.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:19, Reply)
No, I didn't
I'm not going to pretend I know what's going on and what makes a good game, but if we're playing well that's good.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:23, Reply)
well, we are playing very well at the moment so it is good!

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:34, Reply)
I thought about this recently.
If I died I don't think I'd care. Why would I? I'd be dead. If dying meant you were in your body but were just stuck in there with your thoughts whilst six foot underground, yeah alright fuck that. Once you die you're gone, nowt happens so who gives a toss.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:16, Reply)
That is what I hope happens
fuck this "eternal ___" shit, I could think of nothing worse.
(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:19, Reply)
I can't believe so many people are still up.

(, Mon 6 Dec 2010, 0:05, Reply)
