everyone
replying to my anti-dunking peeve and talking about bread in soup has reminded me:

lukewarm soup. well, all and any food, but soup is the worst of all. it has to be piping hot, steaming, burn your mouth hot.

otherwise it's just gross. my flatmate not only used to let her food go congealed and semi-cold before she would eat it, she'd leave it out over night and eat the claggy leftovers in the morning.

i am gipping just thinking about it.

and leftovers. they are also grim, hardened, tasteless relics of their former selves. throw it away, don't leave it for tomorrow!

Cold roast potatoes
...dunked in leftover bread sauce, are my sole reason for offering to help clear the Christmas dinner table, rather than slumping into drunken unconsciousness.

Generally, however, you're right. Cold cooked broccoli is repellent in the extreme.

I ate
a considerable amount (well three pieces) of cold cooked broccoli last night. It wasn't very nice actually. But cold roasties, as long as they were cooked properly, are quite divine.

I seem to remember you've mentioned this before,
along with eating off other people's plates.

I agree with you whole heartedly on the other people's plates thing, my whole family think I'm weird cause if someone elses knife/fork/spoon whatever touches my plate I can't eat anymore of it.

But on the leftovers, we have a curry that's just leftover roast meat and tattys with a sauce. Tis yum.

And you can't beat bubble and squeek for saturday morning beakfast.

I agree
...with the cold roast potatoes comment. I always make as many as I can fit in the oven, and eat the leftovers from the fridge with joyful contentment.

I also can't understand why anybody can enjoy food or drink that burns the mouth.

Left over exceptions..
Coagulation is gross, and so are skaggy housemates. But cold left over pizza is the hang over cure of champions (and teenagers, who knew they knew anything?), and curry comes into it's own stinky goodness after a day or two of stewing in own awesomeness.

Last Sunday morning
I had left over mushroom rice, Lamb Musslini, peshwari naan and bombay patatoes, the naan had been in the bowl in the fridge wiht the rest of the curry and had absorbed the flavours and juices, then when I fried it all up it went crispy good. :D mmmm

Cold Pizza, chilli sauce. Indeed cold lasagne goes down a treat.

you are?
you are gipping just thinking about that? is that because it arouses you so much you feel the need to perform such an act debauchery?
(, Wed 7 May 2008, 11:25, closed)
um
do we have the same meaning of the verb to gip??
(, Wed 7 May 2008, 11:43, closed)
to gip
to tie a bit of bacon on a bit of string. whilst performing anal intercourse the receiver swallows the bacon whilst the giver holds onto the string. At the point of climax, the giver withdraws the string from the receivers mouth with as much haste as possible. The receiver then gags and their anal muscles all contract making the givers orgasm all the more powerful.
