Well I'm all for a bit of piss taking and generally having a laugh, even the goat/monkey sex. This is what the QOTW is about.

There are excellent writers such as Legless, CHCB, Kaol, Chickenlady, DavrosGrandand, PJM, BGB who stand up for everything the QOTW should be, but spimf is just taking things a step too far for me.

I know some of you will say use 'ignore' - don't worry I will.

Well - mainly it's the randomly vitriolic stuff at people like Bobfossil - then completely denying all knowledge of it. (Well done belmsfordsux)

Also replying to posts just to insult people. Disagree - but have an argument. We are all educated b3tans (well the majority) who can string a sentence together - so why not put in some justification?

It does amuse me that some people on this board of all places cannot take a fucking joke. I had a chat with bobfossil - its there in pixels - she’s happy with the situation. Read the thread. I would not call someone a 'dyke' in anything other than jest. I am NOT homophobic, of for that matter sexist. Ms Fossil got that.

As for the rest... I would not wish to GENUINELY offend anyone so when the complaints came pelting my way yesterday for being abrasive and offensive in some of my comments (meh! edit: for having a twisted sense of humour and being a bit of a dobber at times) I apologised profusely and publicly – even to that cunt chuckles - I also sent personal apologies where it seemed warranted.

Mrs spimf asked me what was wrong last night (I was quite quiet apparently) so its not really a peeve - I’m lucky I have someone who loves and understands me so intimately and *knows* when something is troubling me.

I'm slightly stunned that I'm mentioned in that exhalted little group (oh, and Humpty, natch). But happy, nontheless - always nice to be appreciated - thanks! :-)

spimf and the missus did have a bit of an altercation recently, which did end up with me sticking him on ignore for a bit (partly because I was a tad incensed, and partly because I had been having a monumentally shit day at work and that just tipped me over the edge and I probably going a bit too far that week - sorry spimf). However, they've kissed and made up, metaphorically, and so he's back on the guest list. I still don't always agree with what he says, but, I won't let a difference of opinions on occasion stop me from reading what he has to say.

Besides, anyone that hates commercial radio as much as I do can't be all bad ;-D

There are multi-facetted sides to every story
Spimf has balls. He's apologised for offending people and that takes guts.
He also has some old fashioned values regarding respect which swayed my opinion.
We had a run-in a couple of months ago - fault on both sides - as DG said ^ we've since kissed and made up.
