This is a question Money-saving tips

I'm broke, you're broke, we're all broke. Even the smug guy on the balcony with the croissant hasn't got two AmEx gold cards to rub together these days. Tell everybody your schemes to save cash.

Supermarket roulette
1. Head to your local Tesco Express after 5pm on any given evening.
2. Make for the 'Reduced to Clear' shelf
3. Attempt to purchase a meal ONLY from what you can find.
4. ???
5. Profit!

Last night's triumph: Stir-fried turkey breasts with mushrooms, peppers and carrots. Total cost 61p

Previous night's failure: Hummus, broccoli and curly sandwich, forced to purchase food at FULL PRICE.

Your mileage may vary.

I thought you were married?
That sounded like a bachelor meal.

I've been divorced since earlier this year
Oh, the fun fun fun of living in a bachelor pad just down the road from a buy-one-get-one-free Chinese takeaway

I do this when cash is tight.....
Normally the week leading up to rent day, and a few days after.

I raid the yellow sticker section for something to make a reasonable dinner from, and usually manage a desert of fruit, and a 20p bunch of flowers too.

Sometimes I do this even when I have plently of money as I like the challenge, and, well, i can be quite tight sometimes :)
