This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

i don't like sexist men
but there is a breed of sexist women who are far worse. these women will fight tooth and nail to be allowed to do anything a man can do, whether she wants to do it or not. however, she still fully expects a man to hold doors for her, carry her shopping, buy her drinks and treat her like the spoiled little princess she is. she will call a man sexist if he comments on her looks, yet feel she is entitled to say what she likes about him. some of these women, if accused of sexism, will state that they can't possibly be sexist because they're women. am i the only woman here who wants to scratch their stupid eyes out and run them into a lamppost?

clicky. Spot on. Unfortunately the view you speak of seems held by more than just the stuck up princesses :(

That fucking ad!
Really pisses me off and what's worse, you see this guy get shaved and have his hair cut and all of a sudden, he's now attractive to the woman. What the fuck's wrong with a beard?!?!? Is the only way that I'm going to be seen as attractive is if I have a shave and a haircut? Fuck right off!!! Grrrr.....and relax!

My local radio station, bless them, played it at the top of every hour when it was in the charts.
Fortunately I was working in a big echoey warehouse during that time, so the damage was limited, but to hear that chorus still raises a twinge of irritation.

Here come the giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirls.
Here come the giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirls.
Here come the giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirls.
Here come the giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirls.

Aye
Very true and yes scratching eyes out would be appropriate. Got a lot of sexist men but women are also bad.
All bollocks to me :)

i have a friend that used to be a party entertainer
his female coworkers would mostly be perfectly safe, due to the men in the audience being brought up to believe that "you don't treat women like that."
my friend and the other men he worked with, however, were subjected nightly to screaming banshees who would tear their costumes off and chase them. my friend had one woman cut his g-string off with a carving knife :(

A friend of mine
went on a stag do with his pals all dressed in kilts.

Left the club after an hour of having their bollocks scratched.

Good Lord yes!
When people have equality and still expect treatment from the 1350's? Very strange.
(, Mon 28 Dec 2009, 19:39, closed)
what's stranger still
is that they get away with it.
