i did this a year ago in the rain
came off a moutnain in torrential rain, nipped into a pub to get dry and have some soup. Continued on our way with feet in plastic bags etc.

it worked for about 2 mins. before the bags tore and our feet ripped through.

my feet were in a shoe.
the bags simply ripped and i ended up with wet feet anyway.

do they do a version like the teddy bear shop where you can make your
own?
i cant think of any thing better on a dull sunday than to go to a seal shop and club your own for a pair of socks .
that would be worth missing sunday dinner for
