If the National Lottery was presented by Pauline Quirke, whilst dressed as Britney Spears and doing a plate-spinning act, all the while threatening a bewildered pensioner into eating bath towel would qualify.

they already done this, about a year ago.

I agree it doesn't mean quirky
but it doee have some overlap with unusual and strange.
