Following on from Mr Oli
Bulk buy all your buns from the supermarker and freeze them.

When it comes to making your sandwiches the butter will spread easier without tearing the bread.

The bread will be defrosted but still lovely and chilled come lunchtime at work.

Small hint
Cut them in half before you freeze them, as cutting a frozen bap with a bread knife makes a bit of a mess.

Yes
I've done this for years, but with baguettes.

Home from supermarket - chop off ends and eat with a bit of butter - cut remainder in half, slice open and stick in freezer.

Every morning, frozen half baguette out of freezer, add butter and filling, take to work, eat at lunchtime. Today - roast beef, lettuce and mayo. Luvverly.
