This is a question Unemployed

I was Mordred writes, "I've been out of work for a while now... however, every cloud must have a silver lining. Tell us your stories of the upside to unemployment."

You can tell us about the unexpected downsides too if you want.

I'm scared I'm going to lose my job on Monday
I really don't want to, so hoping I wont be writing about my current job next week.

Jobs are rubbish
Just think about how much snoozing you'll get in.

Thats fucking awful -
Hope it goes well.

And you could always take a gun in with you on Monday, just in case things don't go too well.

Are you stressed?
I'm being managed out of the company I'm working for, they don't even have the decency to sack me, this is stressing me out. I recommend a visit to the docs to get signed off with a stress related illness, two to four weeks basic statitory sick pay while you are finding new work and some free prescription drugs for those nights when you just can't get to sleep.

I sort of got a similar situation recently, being managed out (as are the others on my team)
but I was working at a school (my old school) on a temporary basis (for almost a year full time) without a contract, and thought if I'm gone (at their say so or mine) I want it to be quick and clean.
