and if some tosser wants to try and take 'legal action' with him - even though it's in a different country, and he's done nothing illegal at all - he can take it out on his friends too.
Poor parenting has come back to bite him on his arse and he's trying to cover it up.

An adult tried to arrange to meet with my underage stepdaughter for sex. I found out and asked him to stop contacting her. He didn't. So I took all the stuff he'd written to her to a lawyer, because internet threats are stupid, and I didn't know what else to do. It turns out that I can't do anything in the UK, but if he comes to the US he can be prosecuted under US laws for conspiracy to endanger a minor or something like that.
I just had to try to find a way to keep this arsehole away from my daughter. That's really all there is to it.
Again: he's an adult, she's a minor. I'm pretty clear what that makes him in legal terms.
Also, not that it's important really Rick, but I'm a Brit, not a Yank. Really though I'm just a guy trying to protect someone he loves and is responsible for from some cunt who'd use her as a kleenex.
