I'm not long hoe from Glasgow where I went to see the Counting Crows.
The concert was fucking AMAZING. Crows were fantastic and Blind pilot were brilliant for a support band. To all those who said The Hold Steady were a good band... Shame on you! They were absolutely terrible. The singer tried to get everyone clapping and gave up cos no-one took him on.

Also! I saw Frankie Boyle walking through the streets down by Kelvinhaugh street. I almost didn't recognise him out of a suit.

You seen any celebrities lately?

Shut up.
I said Kittens are fucking thick.

Madge from Neighbours
Some of the Calendar Girls, Simon Armitage. Erm... that's it.

I watched Frankie Boyle's live show the other night, what a load of dissapointing low-brow wank.

(, Mon 11 May 2009, 17:55, archived)
I used to think he was great
but he is doing the same jokes after two years. he needs something new.
(, Mon 11 May 2009, 17:57, archived)
His improv is fantastic
Stand-up is getting a little stale, though.
(, Mon 11 May 2009, 18:05, archived)
I work in Soho and see them daily.
I think Counting Crows are a bit snoring I'm afraid. Counting Sheep, if you will...
(, Mon 11 May 2009, 17:56, archived)
Mr. Jones is a fantastic song, out of them all. "Adam Duritz has repeatedly denied that Mr. Jones, is, in fact, his penis"

(, Mon 11 May 2009, 17:57, archived)
I probably wouldn't recognise them if I did.
To me, celebrities are just people I don't know.
(, Mon 11 May 2009, 17:56, archived)
You must recognise some.
Sean Connery? Alex Salmond? Billy Connolly? Jackie Stewart? Lulu?
(, Mon 11 May 2009, 18:10, archived)
I don't remember ever seeing any of them in the street,
so empirically, no.
I don't think I'd even recognise Simon Munnery, and I've spoken to him.
(, Mon 11 May 2009, 18:12, archived)
No
you live in opposite land. The Counting Crows are rubbish and The Hold Steady are great. I've not a clue why they'd be supporting The Counting Crows to be fair.
(, Mon 11 May 2009, 17:56, archived)
[something about Elbow being rubbish]

(, Mon 11 May 2009, 17:57, archived)
No, they were really bad.
The guy spoke more than he sang. And if he wasn't completely out of his tree I'd be very surprised. Also: Oh look, I can sing about getting high and teenage life even though I'm middle aged and half the band are bald.
Absolutely afwul.
(, Mon 11 May 2009, 17:59, archived)
yeah,
everyone knows that middle aged folk spontaneously generate behind snooker halls.
