BLIMEY THE FOOTBALL!
What are we predicting in Rome, tomorrow evening?
I'm bound to ask again, feel free to store better replies.

I'm predicting 22 blokes kicking a ball about
followed by horrific violence.

I think that's a Rugby kickoff.
:(
I'm not
Rugger or anything.
(
Jam Master Geordie Hero of B3ta., Tue 26 May 2009, 22:10,

That would be thirty blokes
and the fans tend to behave themselves.
Still, fair point.

You didn't mention fans.
I thought you meant violence on the field.
It's OK though as they attended public school.
(
Jam Master Geordie Hero of B3ta., Tue 26 May 2009, 22:13,

That's just pile-on.
We used to do that at primary school.
(

I didn't attend public school
but I did play rugby.
I don't understand your distaste for the game, JMG. Surely if a load of Welsh want to knock fuck out of each other, that's ok?
(

I don't hate Rugby.
I just find it amazing a Newcastle midfielder is chastised over and over again when he's a shithead, when if a Rugby player does it it's all in house banter.
Same with May Day riots. If those people were in football shirts there'd be hell on, and absolutely no sympathy in the press.
:(
(
Jam Master Geordie Hero of B3ta., Tue 26 May 2009, 22:17,

With rugby the violence is part of the game
and most rugby players don't cry if you tap them on the ankle.
I'm not having a go at any specific player here
(well, except Ronaldo, the diving prettyboy fairy).

Imagine if a boxer did that.
(

He'd be laughed out of Vegas
and would be unable to make any money from endorsements.

I thought they were all running around gang raping women up in hotels over in the Southern Hemisphere last year.
(

If that's part of the game, I'd be very interested in how substitutions take place, here.

you just swap ends.

Blood bin?
(
Jam Master Geordie Hero of B3ta., Tue 26 May 2009, 22:28,

That would be considered a foul
so a five-minute penalty would be enforced.

In hotels?
That's a fucking disgrace.
Everyone knows that the woods are the preferred location.

114 for 6 about 45 overs in.
Followed by 2 tries in the second half then a touchdown to secure the win in the last quarter. They'll all get green jackets and stand on the podium whilst the national anthem plays. The trophy will be presented by Barry Scott.

just a little
the only time i even remotely supported them was when they played the germans in a european final
and that was only because of the ridiculous pose the german pulled after scoring
seeing german supporters robbed in the last 2 minutes and weeping
priceless

In fairness, that was quite a good game.
BUT, the best champs league final has to be Liverpool v AC Milan 2005. What a turnaround.

I'm going for 2 - 2 in normal time.
Goals from Ronaldo + Rooney and Henry + Messi, providing they all play.
And a 2nd from Ronaldo in extra time, so therefore 3 - 2 to Manchester United.
Chance of a red card too.
