I have anecdotal evidence
that not all traveller girls want to dress like hookers and get married on their 16th birthday.

One of the things the show fails to do is show where they get their money from,
one of them was talking about a 55inch TV, and they seem to have fairly nice cars, and those dresses can't be cheap. But there is only passing references to labouring work and little else.
