Looks like the closest thing is a "curvy" Barbie, which is getting almost near the shape of an actual human.

I don't rate his technique though.
He made a rough narrow V cut, but then overlapped the sides to stitch together, when he could have simply widened the V the the correct size and glued or even soldered the two sides together.
