my father lived in Chicago for a few years, it's fucking brilliant there
especially if you collect records, I got armfuls of blues LPs for $2-3 a pop

Long time I ago I went out with a girl who lived there, so I made several visits.
One thing I noticed is that it smells of steak. Wherever you go, you can smell someone frying steak. It's maddening.
