My sister is organising admitting my brother in law into a hospice
I'm waiting to hear the full details, but he's deteriorating rapidly.

In other news, my partner's gran's is on her way out - late-stage dementia, she's unconscious, being fed through a tube and both her kidneys have just packed up so the hospital in Brazil is just trying to keep her comfortable. She may last days or hours.

This was all very much what we expected and we've had time to say our goodbyes but you can never really be prepared for this shit can you?

I think it's better that my sister and the kids have had the last 18 months with him, they've had some really good times and even though the last month has been awful and getting worse the time they've had has been used well.
