I bet that they are all made up companies that were simply created by comparethemarket.com to make Aleksandr seem even more awesome.

They've not got any new ideas so are shoving shit ones onto our screens.
They're no longer clever. They're a bit tragic

I love the Mongoose war one, and judging by the website, they have plenty of characters to come.

At the end of the day, how interesting can you actually make the process of buying car insurance? And at least there isn't a moron going, Oooooh! I'm so CONFUSED.com, or a bunch of morons webcamming their search for car insurance.

in all the zoos and wildlife parks in the country though. Every single one I have seen since those adverts has had people doing the meerkat voice while looking at them

My nephew's first word was meerkat when Aleksandr came up on the TV screen. :D

He has now learnt 3 more words too. His list now comprises;
Meerkat
Turtle
Fatman
Bugger

every insurance company now wants a 'wacky' character like the meercats.

On all the bleeding time.
Selling a pointless and deeply flawed service, to find a product that you are legally required to have but is unethically overpriced because of the people that flout the law, and then offers you little to no recompense when you actually have to make a claim, due to the non-negotiable layers of beaurocracy and personal excess they include.
Insurance companies and Marketing gurus would be the first up against the wall, come my revolution.

is about sorting through insurance comapnies to find the "cheapest" quote albeit that all insurance companies are expensive, overpriced and extortionate. So I think your anger is directed at the wrong source.

not all insurance companies are on there (Direct Line/Aviva for example), plus comparethemarket get a cut from each company when someone uses them so you're actually not getting the best deal. You still have to shop around to be sure. So their service is fundamentally flawed and pointless.
