
but flowers by the roadside I've always thought are a bit morbid. Sure to those of us who knew her they'll cause us to remember her, but only that she was involved in a car accident and that exact spot was where her life was ended, to other people it'll just signify that someone has died there.
Why not go and drop these down at a local old peoples home or something and say that they're inmemorandum memoriam of a friend with a beautiful smile and that you hope they can bring them just a smidgen of the joy she bought us.

that's had fresh flowers tied to it at least once a week all year round for the last 12 years.
It's so, so sad that the poor grieving person still hasn't been able to let go. After all this time they probably feel that if they stop it will mean they don't care any more.

They keep them going on the country roads with shrines, also... morbid, but keeps the speed down and hence the number of cars over the cliffs....
