I saw the REAL Turkish police.
There was some sort of protest going on outside one of the universities, and there was a police presence in case things got ugly.
Talk about overkill.
I saw 3 placards and for this there was a legion of riot police, complete with shields and gasmasks, PLUS a squad of shock-troops that appeared to be dressed in sci-fi storm-trooper armour.
