(also, the 464+ wasn't shit. I had one, and it was fucking awesome)

the first link (Joel's vid) has been disabled by Google's URL shortener.
I think it's because Google are cunts.

Thanks for featuring my silly blog a few newsletters ago. It got many thousands of visitors, and some of those people were nice enough to click the ad links.
Unfortunately, pretty much as soon as my adsense account passed the payment threshold, Google closed down the account and took the money back, citing "suspicious click activity".
They won't tell me why exactly, and in fact their terms of use actually state, "we won't tell you why". I've asked around and have now spoken to 2 other people who have had exactly the same experience.
Just so you all know.

but is an image challenge the right way to go about the logo design? There could be many b3tans enter this with predictable 'slap a magenta cock on a cat for lols' entries in the spirit of b3ta humour, and they may not know the link between the CST and b3ta through Nina, which will of course upset a number of b3tans.
Just worried it could cause a shitstorm if someone, in all innocence, decides to go down the 'magenta' route of humour in this for 'the lols', and half the board jumps on said person. Nearly every time something outside of b3ta gets involved in a challenge, there's always a 'subversive' element to it. (i.e Virgin)

This is an issue that has been already rasied.
Here is where they're at: They're willing to weather the shitestorm if they can have something at the end that will help the trust in their work.
I know you meant no insult by posting that as I know you were saying it abjectively, something I know you're good at.
If you could back us though when we try and get Nina made Prime Minister at the next elections.
EDIT: I think anyone doing anything really crass would get flamed to hell and crucified my mobs concidering the meaning behind it.
I would like to think though, that b3tards are weird people with good hearts.
I'd prefer to believe things like that would not happen.
EDIT EDIT: I'd need to be presented properly if it became a mini compo but if people realise that the difference it could make in sending a few wild cats out to Asia on the breeding project. It is entirely plausable that in two years the wild snow leopard population could go from 500 to 550 globally.
THis is the reality of that the Trust do and why amazing people liek Jahled; with his endless photdocumentary and weekly visits, Puromycin; who completely unasked is making an amazing website and wildcat database for then, Happytoast; who visit regularly and has done some stunning drawings for them.
You have to get involved and meet Terry to understand how amazing the place is.

I was just wary of the shitstorm that is more than likely to happen if an innocent mistake is made by a poster doing something for 'the lols'
Of course, if the CST are prepared to accept this as well as the 'better suited' entries then so much the better. My main concern was that in any /board arguments about the suitability of a post, especially if it involves Nina the S. Leopard, then 'Jessie's' name may get brought into an argument over it, which would just seem a bit 'iffy'. In your edit, it mentions that crass posts would be flamed to hell, which kind of backs up my concern. You mention 'considering the meaning behind it' and yet many people who enter the challenge may not know the meaning behind it, and just post 'shit for lols', ie cdcs on cats, etc, or worse. I don't think encouraging 'flaming to hell' - considering the meaning behind it - really befits the memory of Jessie/Nina. Just a thought anyway, and as said, I'd support the idea of a logo challenge of some sorts.

I'd like to think that it's be OK. Or maybe need to think that.
The gazes of drafts and questions into the Trust as well as people just saying how they think it's a great idea and want to know more has been astonishing.
In the least 24 hours or so I've got about 30 gazs.
You pop down to London one weekend and James/Jahled would be more than happy to take you down when he goes. IT's easier to understand if you do.

I was merely airing a concern that no challenge to date has received entries which are 100% within the guidelines or from people who have even read the challenge 'brief'. As a result, some entries could well get a few people's backs up, and as you said yourself, encourage people to get 'flamed to hell and crucified by mobs' because of the meaning behind it. Given that very meaning, it doesn't seem very befitting in expecting people to get 'flamed to hell' etc etc in what may very well just be a different interpretation, and 'typical' b3ta humour
